Priyank Upadhyay, a Radio Professional, actor, singer, composer, musician, poet and lyricist has an experience of 15+ years in theatre. Getting his stage birth through Saumya Joshi, growing his career with Rajoo Barot and playing alongside Nisarg Trivedi, theatre has been his home. He started his journey as an actor and singer in theatre skits, then one-act plays and then full plays. Having already performed in Abhivyakti twice - in ‘Meera’ and ‘Poetic Justice’, this will be the third time he will mark his presence at the festival. In this edition of Abhivyakti City Arts Project, Priyank’s theatre concept ‘Shunyavatar’ questions one’s existential question on "Who are You ?” & can you say that without your name, profession, culture, etc.? This concept is a journey of an Individual, trying to un-layer the self and wake up from the sleep he has always been choosing, the sleep of the consciousness. He has been sedating himself with countless things so that he doesn't have to face the ultimate reality of consciousness i.e. who they really are.
